Meet my support crew
For client work, I’m supported by a team of talented freelancers. I’m still across every project, splitting my time between writing, editing, and researching the latest content trends. Clients benefit from having multiple wordsmiths working on their content, and I never feel isolated by the creative process: win-win!
Hayley Clark – Freelance Copywriter
Hayley has always been drawn to creative work. At first she wanted to be an interior designer, then an art director – at one point it even involved dreams to become an illustrator. But as she studied media at university and advertising during her post graduate diploma, Hayley spent more and more time writing (and loving it).
What followed was two years writing in an SEO agency in Auckland (where Jess interviewed her for the job!), and every year since working as a freelance writer and editor.
Her switch to freelancing meant she could live anywhere, which is why she now lives in British Columbia, Canada.
Hayley loves working on creative projects in particular, such as tag lines and brand stories, as well as any content relating to travel. She creates content that’s enjoyable to read, informative, and always on-brand.
Erin Harrison – Freelance Content Writer
With a love of writing from a young age, Erin's mum had always said she should become a journalist. But of course, it was one of those things she had to find her own way into.
A Bachelor of Communications at AUT appealed to Erin's creative side and while she majored in radio, it was here that things just started to 'happen' for her in a writing sense. Erin's first foray into content creation was as a blogger for Radiochick (where she met Jess!) and since then she has written for a range of industries, both print and online. From in-house work at agencies and at New Zealand's largest news website Stuff, Erin has also spent many years freelancing.
Erin loves the challenge of writing for a target audience – understanding that in today's busy world it can be hard for content to stand out and be seen. So it is imperative that everything she works on is created to appeal directly to the end-user, either to make them take action or simply contemplate something new.
Sarah Glover – Freelance Copywriter and Editor
Having spent quite a few years creating, writing, and editing blog and website content for an online travel booking site, Sarah left the commute behind to do freelance writing and editing work for a wide array of clients in New Zealand, Australia and the US.
Sarah lives in West Auckland with a sports-mad husband, a digger-loving toddler, a nutty baby, and a lazy ginger cat.
When not attached to her laptop, she likes to hike, drink wine, and create community.
Simone Fernandes – Freelance Content Writer and Copywriter
Simone is a creative at heart and has a real fondness for words. Ever since childhood, she enjoyed reading and writing, listening to peoples’ life experiences and being able to retell and share their stories with others.
With a background in marketing and communications, in the tertiary education sector, Simone gained the experience and skillset necessary to advance her career to the next level, and began her freelance and contracting profession in writing 3 years ago. With a Bachelor of Communications (Public Relations), writing comes naturally to Simone and she has an amazing ability to juggle complex projects, craft beautiful content and output high quality copy.
She has an eye for detail, and can tailor her writing style to complement a client’s organisational tone of voice. Having worked in social media marketing, content marketing, and production and brand marketing roles, the work Simone produces is of a professional and polished standard, delivering results and meeting her clients’ expectations.
Simone lives in South Auckland with her husband, Rob, and 9-year old cat, Nala – who keeps her company while working from home.
